The longer I practice as a psychologist, the more my work has come to focus on empowerment. Sometimes people and systems hold us back, sometimes we hold ourselves back, and far too often we sell ourselves short. I can help you navigate these problems as you work toward becoming the best version of yourself.
Everyone’s journey and needs in psychotherapy are different so I don't provide one-size-fits-all solutions. However, I generally view the goal of psychotherapy as getting relief from your most pressing problems while developing the insights and skills to help you manage the inevitable challenges long after therapy has ended. We do this by working together in a nonjudgmental relationship where we focus productively on your problems. As we look for solutions, I’ll offer a supportive outside perspective on your problems. Our conversations will involve questions, challenges, and practical advice. As we go along, I’ll also draw your attention to other things that are important to living a balanced and fulfilled life. These might your include your relationships, addressing important events from your past, the ways you avoid confronting your fears, and your wishes and dreams. It’s my hope that when therapy is done that you've not only solved problems and feel better, but you feel an authentic engagement with others and that your life has meaning and purpose.

We'll typically schedule one 50-minute session each week at a time we agree on, although sessions may be more frequent as necessary. Once you have scheduled an appointment, you're expected to pay for it unless 24 hours advance notice is provided. I am in-network for some Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPOs. Before our first meeting, you’ll need to call the customer service number on the back of your insurance ID card and verify if I am “in-network” or “out-of-network” and ask them how much psychotherapy with me will cost you. For other health insurance providers, I bill as out-of-network. Payment is due at time of service. View my Notice of Privacy Practices
